Took the Powershot SX10 on a trip to the Vet to grab some drogas to help ease The Prince of Darkness’ last days with us before making the last trip to send him off to Kitty Heaven. His head is all swole up with cancer and the days are few, but we wanted a week or so with him to really pamper him up and come to terms with the malignant end. As long as he’s eating well and not in obvious pain, and able to enjoy attention – we wanted to let him have it. The day is soon, but it is not *now*.
Speeding along the highway at 45 is not really ideal for a digital camera with slow shutter reaction. Passed a lot of very scenic locations, and got a lot of cockeyed, half-framed shots of it, but little worth keeping except these grabbed as we slowed down to negotiate corners.
The church at the bottom of the hill. I’ll head down there to do some more pictures soon. Dealing with cat end days and moving now. Can only be away from home base for short periods. Away missions are tempting, but necessarily infrequent and short, just in case.
And in the evening as the drizzly overcast set in, just a quick “not-so-still-life” of CARS and SPOOKY, ABANDONED(?) HOSPITAL in auto mode in not especially menacing light at all. We’ll call it a baseline for the series after that wacky black & white start last night. There are other narratives in the frame to explore, but here time only stretches enough to blur the passing vehicles to express motion rather than emotion. They blink in and out of existence from somewhere to probably HOME, tires hissing like angry snakes on the wetshiny asphalt road. They probably don’t even notice the building looming overhead.
