Unalived

Been hearing that word a lot, and I find it fascinating. A word created and solely intended to bypass a filter is now widely used as more things are being more aggressively unalived. I wonder why the people that wrote the filters don’t just add “unalived” to the filter? They don’t, though. That probably is meaningful. Here’s something that Friend Cat unalived this morning: There would be an opportunity here for some real “Zed and Two Noughts” style timelapse photography with the Powershot and CHDK except I have no good tripod or a wall power lead for the camera. You’ll have to be satisfied with fresh crime scene photos. Speaking of unalived, The Prince of Darkness, Leoben the Chongus has succumbed to weirdly aggressive feline head cancer. No, also not going to timelapse my cat. Again, I mean. And today’s mail brought a letter from a Correspondent and a postcard from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. I read the letter, looked at the postcard, and was struck at the real Hallmark Moment that came to me by combining my response to the situation outlined in the former with the graphics of the latter, chopped out with my trusty Gadson shears and typed on with the ’72 Mercury that I replied to the letter with: Hopefully my Correspondent will find this wisdom enlightening and useful. I love it when the mail brings both questions *and* answers!
