The Corral is packed in the POD, and I only held back a Siamese Dong Ah to give to Bill at MTE, and that was not satisfying to type on – writing meaningless squiggles on paper gets dull fast and the latter-day Seiko mechanism has the action of a mechanical typewriter without much of the joy. A couple days ago I met up with Agent K at MTE and dropped off the Siamese machine to Bill, and so now even that connection to the life of writing by mechanical machine is gone. I feel it already – the grey funk of tapping on flat little plastic squares embedded in tactical carbon fiber for the next few months…

  1. Thanks for the update! Hoping you get settled into your new digs soon enough.

    1. A concrete box near a man-made “lake” and steel “Marina” in the center of the desert, crawling with Waymos and other more human-like robots. Hopefully as temporarily as possible.

  2. Man, I was starting to think you died or somethin’!
Any clue when I’ll be able to start writing my letter to you? I really miss ya, pal!

    1. It’ll be a couple months or so prolly.
