TTSSASTT 0.5 – Casting Urethane Typewriter Feet

Yeah, and the Super-5 feet might be the easiest to cast, as they’re just rectangular blocks of rubber. Einstein will prolly be getting fresh feet soon too.

  1. Nice videos on the feets. I was hoping JVC would make a video of them. It was my first thought when I started installing mine. Very nice work.

  2. I still need to install my feet! I am looking forward to watching the whole process of mold-making.

  3. This looks like a lot of fun. The feet on one of my Royal 10s are just toast and may have to try your method.

  4. I was trying to reach Ted Munk or anyone else who may be interested. My mom has an ibm electronic selectric composer and a bunch of type balls. Some have not even been used. Mom ised to have a typesetting business.

    1. I have a feeling that you’re gonna want to sell it to me, but before you try that, you might want to check out the price I paid for the one I already have:

  5. Hello! Before I take the plunge and try and cast my own rubber feet for the various Olympia machines I’m refurbishing, (SM3, SM4, SM7, SM9), I’m wondering if you have any pre-made molds and whether you’d be willing to sell feet that you make? I couldn’t find a way to contact you privately, so here I am just begging out in the open. Thanks for your time! Feel free to email me directly if you don’t want to reply here. Cheers!
