Also grabbed both of the interviews he did with a couple podcasts. I could only find two. Let me know if there are more I need to snag..
My Blog post on meeting Duane.
Keyword search! I’ll be fine-tuning the meta tags for better searchability.
All of the wisdom Duane has shared with us via his YouTube Channel, in Sneakernet-Portable format. Fits on a 128gb flash drive!
Wow! Saving a treasure trove of Duane’s post! A very fitting memorial to a fine Typewriter repairman.
Will these be on the TWDB?
Thanks!
Can’t serve video off a server optimized for web, also the collection is twice the size of the TWDB already, so not that way, no. :D
A job worth doing and what appears to be a job well done. Honestly it is hard to imagine you and Duane crossing paths just once. But certainly better once than not at all. Now I sit here wondering just how many typewriters have been (or will be) brought back to a useful state thanks to the many helpful videos that Duane created over the years. Good stuff!
Thank you for making a backup of this invaluable resource. There are so, so many repairs I’ve made that wouldn’t have been possible without Duane.
Gotta admit, I had you firmly in mind when embarking on this. We’ve (the community) come a looooong way since 2012 in making typewriter repair information much easier to get and more widespread, and the results are obvious in terms of machines rescued and people educated in the art. Not gonna let it slide backwards if I can help it. (:
Yes, I’ve read many of Mary’s posts on typewriter repair, and so often she references Duane’s informative videos. His YouTube posts have helped me as well. You’ve done invaluable work in preserving Duane’s work!
Mary’s great – any time she does a blog post I know I can expect a letter soon from her recounting her thoughts while testing the machine she’s been working on. It’s like getting special bonus episodes! :D
A very smart and public-minded move!
