The only typewriter in the trio of films is the late 60’s/early 70’s Smith Corona Golden Shield portable on which The Poolman writes daily letters to Erin Brokovitch. Basically a Smith Corona Corsair with distributor-specific branding.

  1. Ha, my son took me to see Hundreds of Beavers back when it was playing at the nearby independent theater. A good time was had by all.

Poolman on the other hand, looks like it might have the potential to give “Playing God” (starring David Duchovny) a run for its money as the worst film ever (so bad it was comical). While Poolman looks mildly intriguing and sports a great cast, the fact is that I’m still not over seeing Playing God — that was probably 25 years ago. I still rue the day I chose to rent it at the local Blockbuster.

    1. Or perhaps it’s sublime? I dunno – I haven’t seen “Playing God”, but I can’t say I find him a compelling performer in anything other than maybe “Evolution”.
