I’ll just leave these photos of a basement wet bar right outta 1968 in memoriam of a house passed up because it gets 7 feet of snow a year. The girls think this old desert rat wouldn’t take it, but I don’t think I’d’a minded waiting out the snow in that basement so much. :D

Michigan’s Upper Peninsula or Alaska.
California’s Sierra Nevada does not do too bad either.
We did get 4 or 5 feet several winters in VA.
I shoveled my share of snow as a kid in flagstaff. (Three years of heavy 15+ inch snow storms during my time there.) I’ll pass. Honestly, I don’t mind the snow or the cold so much, but 16-year-old me can handle the job of dealing with it a lot better than 51-year-old me.
