Mail Call: Community Celebrations and Teasing Out a New Tape Pal

I was finally able to read the QR code below, but it led to a broken link. Request re-transmission. I will occasionally give a tape to someone I think might have Tape Pal tendencies, just to tease out if they have a tape deck. Bingo on this one – target acquired! :D Currently in the eyeholes:

“History is made at night. Character is what you are in the dark”

  1. “Where are we going?”

    “Planet Ten!”

    “When?”

    “REAL SOON!”

And I feel the need to point out “There are Monkey Boys in the complex!!”

    1. “Big Boo-TAY, big boo-TAY!”

      1. You beat me to it!

So I guess I’ll just have to go with the old fave: “Laugh-a while you can, Monkey Boy!”

I LOVE that movie! My college advisor introduced me to that film back in the late 80s. He could do the most awesome (Lord) John Whorfin impersonation. (John Lithgow doing the best Mussolini impersonation ever!) Those lines got tossed around a lot in the hallways! Ah, good memories…

        1. I’ll pass over the obvious one and go with my favorite line: “It drives like a truck.” “Okey… what is a truck?” A quote I use when describing the experience of typing on 6cpi portables, and nobody gets it. :D

Yeah, there’s a million quotes in that film. Is pretty high in my yearly rotation.

          1. Just don’t go with “Declaration of War: the short form…” ;-)

          2. “Which one was yes, go ahead and destroy Russia… or number Two?”
