Girl 2 surprised me with a sewing machine she found at a thrift for $25! She knows way more about sewing that I have any hope to, so I certainly trust her instincts as to a good starter machine. So, I guess I’ll be starting with some simple upholstery on those wooden chairs. My skeleton needs a padded seat, and I should remember something from that year of working at an auto upholstery shop when I was 17. (:
The typing porch vista is just magical – the fall colors are so pretty. You’ll have to share pictures of your seat cushions once sewn – I’m sure you’ll pick out some fun fabric.
Nice porch! I enjoy the sunlight flashing between the leaves in your video.
Congrats on getting settled into your new digs. Looking forward to enjoying watching you adapt to the new area.
