Sorry you are not in your new place of abode yet. Moving has such challenges. We’re still stuck in our temporary house 9 years. Prices have gotten too much out of line.
I think that Camedia D-40Z was one of, if not the first, decent ( 4mP or 5MP sensor) pocket digital cameras with the neat sliding door in the front that turned on the camera when opened. I liked the early Camedia products becasue you could use a CR-22 or CR23 (I forget which) or 2-AA cells. I did not like the proprietary storage cards though.
Heh, yep – that’s the one. Luckily my dad, having kept it in active use so long, easily outlived the Smartmedia format and snatched up like half a dozen of the 128mb Smartmedia cards when they were on fire sale clearance. I’m stocked! :D
RE: Home prices. Pretty sure we’ve bought at the top of the market, but we couldn’t wait any longer. Rental and storage are too spendy and rates were on the way up. If you have the luxury of waiting, the housing market is very likely to crash quite soon. Should be able to get a bargain.. But then there’s the having to sell the old place in that kind of market and getting a rate that’s not at 1988 levels.. Really tough to time these things. We sold in the Phoenix market just in the nick of time, but buying in New England’s persistently tight market was.. time-consuming. At least we pulled the trigger before the bond market went nuts.
