Thermal Trifecta: Phomemo M02, Brother EP-22 & Blueberry Cyclops Bear

First I printed out a strip of thermal paper with a header on the Phomemo M02, and hand-stamped my CHOP into the header photo with bleaching stamper ink.

Off of the Thermal Brother EP-22 Typewriter and into the Blueberry Cyclops Bear Toy Camera.

Feed it so the end of your typing just touches the cutter edge, then take a picture of your subject and print it onto the remaining strip of paper.

Wellah! A Street Poet looking to create “Unique Ephemeral Street Poetry” could pre-print a bunch of strips with your header graphic, then pull one out to type the poem and snap a photo of the subject! :D

  1. Hi Ted,
First of all, I want to apologize for writing to you via a comment on your blog, but I couldn’t find any contact information for you on typewriterdatabase.com.

I would like to become a member there, but unfortunately my attempts to create an account failed.
There was a message with a green checkmark saying that “Successfully sent notification to *my email address*”, but I never received one.
When I tried to log in with the username and password I chose to register with, I got this red message: “Failed login. Either Username or Password or both are not correct, or you are banished.”

So I tried to request a new password and received another message with a green checkmark: “Please check your email for the validation link and click it to confirm your password reset request.” However, I have not received such a message either.

I don’t know what to do now and kindly ask you to manually check what happened. The username I tried to register with was “Adlersuchsystem” and I used the email address that I entered in the contact box for this comment.
    Kind regards, Goetz

    1. if you can’t get the email on your email address, I can’t help with that – that is an issue with your email provider filtering the email before you get it. Best course of action is to try a different email address.

  2. Thanks a lot for your reply.
Well, I have had this email address for 27 years (!) now and it has never happened that an email was filtered. Thats’s why I assume that these emails were not sent in the first place because the algorithm set up on the typewriterdatabase website to prevent spam bots from signing up had somehow decided to block me?

Of course, I had already considered using a different email address. But I only have two alternatives, one is a gmail address which is not allowed there, and the other is my business email which I don’t want stored in any record. And I’m not sure I want to set up another email account just for this one purpose, we’ll see.

I’m sorry once again to have bothered you with this, but maybe it’s still good for you to know that (at least) someone is having trouble signing up. Anyway, you are free to delete this conversation now because, as I said, it really doesn’t belong here.

    Best regards, Goetz

    1. Well, if the system tells you it sent an email, it did – I checked to make sure it was sent. It would tell you if you were blocked. The failure to login is just because you haven’t completed the email confirmation.

I’d suggest trying a 33mail forwarder, like the help text says. You don’t need another full email address. I can’t know why certain providers block emails they don’t recognize, but it happens all the time and the systems that send the emails don’t have any way of preventing that. (:
