Hmmn, for rarity and nostalgia (I come from a printing background), I would pick the Selectric Composer, for just plain swankness, I’d pick the early 60’s Accent Blue trim 721 and if I were looking for pure workhorse typing utility and flexibility (and cheap and plentiful ribbons, which neither the Composer or 721 enjoy), a plain dual-pitch Correcting Selectric II, 13″.
I like how you don’t have to change typewriters depending on mood, just slip a new ball in. My Selectric interest is aroused!
